Content: Treatment plans?! What do I do first? Who does what? Planning for students with emotional-behavioral disorders (EBDs) is confusing without systematic implementation. In this course, you’ll learn the basic nuts and bolts of setting up your school’s EBD classroom/specialized program. You’ll prepare a treatment plan from scratch for one or more of your students, and learn a week-by-week system for integrating treatment planning components. Note: to get even more out of this training come with a student in mind that you are working with.

Intended Audience: School psychologists, teachers, counseling staff, administrators, mental health professionals, and any others interested in treatment planning. Tip: consider bringing your site team members with you to this training.

Outcomes:
Participants will:
1. Prepare a variety of materials for direct instruction and behavioral management.
2. Identify measures to determine students’ functional needs, success levels, motivation, growth, and
readiness for academic rigor.
3. Turn academic subjects into less aversive meaningful tasks that fit needs.
4. Identify staff roles, needed skills, and responsibilities.
5. Learn technology to improve student attention, engagement, and work production.

**Participants will need to bring some blank paper and a pen (or a laptop, if they have one) for additional note taking, making lists, and developing ideas with table mates.**

Registration:
San Diego Unified School District employees can register through ERO.
Out-of-district participants register by emailing [email protected].

Please register by January 23rd
