I am in my 28th year with the La Mesa/Spring Valley School district. My first 20 years in the district was as a school counselor at both the elementary and middle school level. I then moved into a school psychologist position and began working with the Behavior Focused Special Day Classes. Due to some budget cuts, I know have the opportunity (!) to work with the entire school at Fletcher Hills Elementary, in addition to the Behavior Focused SDC’s at both Fletcher Hills and Parkway Middle School. I love my job even though it can be overwhelming! I also believe in advocating for my profession.
